the sun rises,
the sun sets.
in between the rising and setting
there is the daily business of living.
feed chickens,
tend garden,
cook,
eat,
wash,
“chop wood, carry water”,
no rush,
look closely,
listen intently
there are miracles in the mundane.
This echoes a note i took yesterday after reading some poetry:
ReplyDeleteThe best poems exhort or remind us that:
- don't just look at things, really see them, or, see deeper.
- don't just hear things, really listen to them, or, listen deeper
And when we learn to recognize the miracles in every moment, we discover humility and gratitude.
ReplyDelete...that humility and gratitude reside there as well
